FEZTIVAL OF TREES RULES AND GUIDELINES
The FEZtival of Trees fundraiser is an excellent opportunity for a business to show their philanthropic support while receiving public recognition for their contribution. This type of event has been hosted by other Shrine organizations around the United States for several years. The El Zaribah Shrine is sponsoring its second annual FEZtival of Trees December 2, 3, & 4, 2022.
Based on the success of other events that we have sponsored, we expect several thousand people to view the trees.
The deadline for Tree Sponsor applications are CLOSED The spaces for trees is available on a first-come first-committed basis.

Friday Dec. 2nd Tree Setup Noon to 6:00 PM
Friday Dec. 2nd Early Bird Access 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Saturday Dec. 3rd 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Sunday Dec. 4th NOON to 4:00 PM
Refreshments will be available for purchase at the event. Santa Claus will also be available during selected days and times.
How Tree Winners will be selected:
Attendees can purchase raffle tickets, 6 tickets for $5.00, 12 tickets for $10.00, or 25 tickets for $20.00. Raffle tickets are deposited in the container affiliated with the displayed tree. There is no limit to the number of raffle tickets that can be purchased. Businesses may purchase raffle tickets for their own tree.
ONE ticket will be drawn as the winner for each tree. The winning ticket will win the tree and all the gifts associated with that tree.
Winners will be contacted by telephone immediately following the raffle drawing on Sunday evening Dec. 4th. The list of winners will also be posted on the El Zaribah Shrine website. Trees must be picked up by the winners on Monday Dec. 5th between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
In addition, the business or organization that receives the most raffle ticket submissions will be designated as the “FEZtival of Trees” Champion and will be recognized for their honor through social media and on the El Zaribah Shrine website.
Tree Requirements:
The value of the artificial tree and gifts are required to be valued at a minimum of $500.00.
The spaces are 7×7 feet. The tree and gifts must fit in the designated area.
All trees must be artificial (no real trees).
If trees are lit (recommended), the lights must be LED lighting, and the tree sponsor must supply a new power cord (50 foot) that meets electrical code.
Trees may be any size, up to a maximum height of 8 feet. Keep in mind that smaller trees need to be elevated to be visible. We suggest trees of a least 5 feet in height.
The tree sponsor must supply all setup accessories – including, but not limited to: wire, tape, decorations, hangers, and wire ties, etc. Trees must be properly secured and be free-standing. No screws, nails, etc. Tree skirting is recommended.

TREES GIFT GUIDELINES
Gift Requirements:
If any item that is displayed is not included with the tree, it must be clearly marked as such. Any item not marked will be considered part of the tree package and will be given to the winner. Do not attach real money (cash) to the trees. You can use a card, play money, or paper printed to look like money. Please provide any cash gifts in an envelope marked with the tree number and sponsor name. This envelope will be placed in the El Zaribah Shrine safe and given to the winner when they pick up their tree. All other items that are not displayed with the tree – but are included in the tree/gift package – must be provided to the El Zaribah Shrine by 6:00 PM on Friday Dec. 2nd. These items will be secured in a locked room until they are claimed by the winners.
